Deb Kandelaars is a South Australian writer and the author of Memoirs of a Suburban Girl (Wakefield Press 2011) a cautionary tale about an everyday girl who makes a wrong turn and finds herself in a violent world.
Memoirs of a Suburban Girl received praise in a number of publications including The Sunday Age, The Daily Telegraph, InDaily and Good Reading Magazine. It was shortlisted for the 2010 Adelaide Writers' Week Award for an Unpublished Manuscript.
Deb's published work includes the first of the bestselling Postcards series (Wakefield Press), Moments in Time (ABC Books) and Down Beside the Sea: Victor Harbor (Wakefield Press, co-written with Ron Kandelaars). She graduated from the University of Adelaide with a MA (Creative Writing).
